Pecha Kucha
Tonight I went to the second Pecha Kucha evening organized in Brussels. Pecha Kucha - which is Japanese for the sound of conversation - is a series of show-and-tell evenings for designers, architects, artists and creative people. The concept exists of 20 x 20 = 20 slides of 20 seconds. The restricted schedule is really great because everybody gets the same time frame for his/her presentation.
What's quite funny is that some people aren't that good in talking fast in 20 seconds or try to put too much i nformation on every slide which causes that they start talking about previous slides and it gets a total chaos. I love it.
There's a big change that I can do a Time to NOW experiment on one of the next Pecha Kucha evenings. I have already some good ideas how I can play with experience time in the strict clocktime schedule. If you have the opportunity to check out one of the Pecha Kucha evenings, I can certainly recommend it. More info here.
